If I do not do this quick enough you might see a large ranking drop but hopefully it does not since my site is already featured on several web design galleries. And if ever I do drop big time, I hope there is enough time to come back.

Other people I wish to see moving up is Leo and the .mobi site who I think Jehzlau knows who running that show. And helloooo Mito, what’s happening? Stop dipping back to page 3 and join the fun! And Ricusa, I believe this is your first contest, don’t think you are inferior to others. Just keep working on it and try catching up. Hello Jun, Eli T., Ronald, where are you guys in the SEOContest2008?

Hopefully my ranking stays but of course, anything can happen since there are a lot of talented SEO professionals in this contest.

And in that process, I checked out the directory plugin that I am using for Yicrosoft Directory. Let’s see how this works. Right now the directory is a free submission online web business directory so feel free to submit. If I feel something to be a bit spammy, I might delete it so no guarantees every site will be accepted. MFA’s will be kicked out for sure.

And I know some people laughed at my SEO Song, well guess what? There is a new song, the PPC Song! But… I didn’t sing this one. Someone else did and I must say he did it pretty well. Check it out.

Now in my office/room my wife enters and says: I know what you are doing, you are not going to work. You are going to catch up in the contest. Thinking about lying first and say I am going to work on some project, but… my wife knows me to well. No need to lie either. And I simply said, yes, just to setup my account. It won’t take long.

It is just the first week of the contest but I am not in panic mode yet, but I just know working on the site little by little is a lot more easier than playing big catch up later. Might as well do something right now, at least get into the SERPs and just work slowly so it is easier to manage later on.

This SEOContest2008 by the UKWebmasterWorld forum is not as big as the previous SEO World Championship last year by GetUpdated that gave me a car. This contest is only $1,000 but so far this is the biggest one I can find this year and all there rest are all $250 and below. Might as well go out and try for this one. Although I was really keeping my eyes on the 2008 SEO World Championship that started last year on January 15. Looks like this year, it is not going to be a reality. So I wonder what Luar Buso is up to? Was the 2007 SEO World Championship not worth it in terms of their marketing campaign that doing a 2008 version is just not worth to repeat? I still hope they come up with a bigger or even the same magnitude as last year so it is really worth your time to optimize for.

Oh well, got to stop now, since my wife is just behind my back and she wants to see more work done than working on an SEO contest. Which reminds me I also have to help Phong catch up as well. I also have domains to share with others.

Jesse signed up as a yes on the San Diego SEO Meetup website but I didn’t see him there. I RSVP’d as a maybe, but was still able to go along with my wife. In the middle of the meetup, a potential debt consolidation SEO client of mine called up and I had to move away from the group for a while, hopefully that deal closes.

• Yahoo - They did some blackhat stuff. Although they kind of said in some unofficial statement in a way that you know stuff like this can get through sometimes through the various levels of outsourcing.
• Google - Universal search results is really old news already. And I just expressed what I think about the Google universal search result. What is relatively new is the Google Maps Street View, and even if it is so new, some crazy people were able to find some chicks sunbathing in swimsuits and a sexy thong photo using Goggle Maps Street View.
• Microsoft - Not related to search at all. But still cool to mention is Microsoft comes out with the Surface Computing.

Ok, I won the SEO World Championship, now so what? Personally I think that does not make me at par with any of the top gurus of SEO. I may have the ranking techniques but there is still a lot more to learn and obviously I do not have the money these top notch SEOs have right now. And my business process may not be as streamlined as theirs yet. But I know I will get there. And people keep asking me, where’s my car? The car I won in the SEO World Championship? The Citroen C2? Well here it is.
