Ok, so I am number 1 now. But it is still February, and the SEO contest ends on April 1. This is totally still anyone’s game and now is not a moment to rejoice or be happy. After looking at the SERPs, I noticed, Major Kontrapelo floating around the first page up and down and is now at number 5. Elmer first had a banned Blogspot entry, and I found his efforts put to waste to I decided to give him a domain, and so far his site is also on the first page. Jehzlau on the other hand just keeps on working with numerous contacts from the Philippine blogging community. I personally do not know Garry but he is doing a good job. I was working on this Wordpress theme for SEOContest2008 and decided to test it out here on my SEO/SEM blog before applying it on own SEOContest2008 site. So far I see no problems and I just have to integrate a few SMO plugins for the site.

And in that process, I checked out the directory plugin that I am using for Yicrosoft Directory. Let’s see how this works. Right now the directory is a free submission online web business directory so feel free to submit. If I feel something to be a bit spammy, I might delete it so no guarantees every site will be accepted. MFA’s will be kicked out for sure.

And I know some people laughed at my SEO Song, well guess what? There is a new song, the PPC Song! But… I didn’t sing this one. Someone else did and I must say he did it pretty well. Check it out.

While watching the History Channel on the topics of UFOs, and my daughter playing with some random toys in the living room, my wife is using the laptop checking some emails. Sitting beside me, I then tell her to check out some SERP. She then asks me what to search for and I said SEOContest2008. And within the results, I point out where Eli is, where MajorKontrapelo is, where Mann3r is. And my wife asks me, where are you? And I say, I’m not yet in the results. Then I ask her to do a site command on my domain to check it out. And yes, I’m not in the results yet. After a few minutes I stand up and tell my wife I got to work.

Now in my office/room my wife enters and says: I know what you are doing, you are not going to work. You are going to catch up in the contest. (more…)
